Propoints
Some of you may have read in the national papers and in some magazines about the new regime that WeightWatchers has come up with. It's called Propoints and it started nationally last week for online members and members that go to meetings. As my meeting is a Thursday, I got to know all about it proper, last Thursday, so have been following that regime since then. Won't know how I've done until this coming Thursday but I have eaten a hell of a lot and will be really disappointed if the scales go against me. I have followed the plan religiously. Fingers crossed for me. Chris/Tina

What a great idea!! 10.5lb's eh? that's excellent progress. Keep it up sunshine, you'll soon be slipping threw that fence :O)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up Chris - just think of the fabulous shopping trip you will have for a wedding outfit.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up, Chris!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great change.
I am sure you will achieve your aim! ;)
Common girl! )))))
Jekaterina
Well done Teen, I'm proud of you already! You sound so positive, keep it up. I'll be blogging on to see how you're progressing, and with all this encouragement, you'll get the result you're looking for! Cheers Teen, Love Paus xxxxx
ReplyDeleteP.S. Don't know why my name came up as 'J' - how strange!!! Anyway, I've changed it now, so you know it's me - good job I signed the last one LOL! xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteThis is from Ceri, who for some technical reason couldn't post his comment himself:
ReplyDelete"Chris, I like you just the way you are, but if you think you can improve on perfection then go for it girl, I will certainly help you celebrate when you reach the ultimate you.
Love always
Ceri. D"
I couldn't sleep last night. This is the second time within a week that I have got up in the early hours because sleep has escaped me and I'm working tonight! The night before I was up and down like yoyo because my bladder was filling up to bursting point, several times. And the night before that I did a nightshift, so all in all, not much sleep being had at night. Still, I didn't have anything to get up for, so have had a nice lay in. I did a few houseworky things when I got up in the night, so at least I don't have them to do. And I silently went up and down stairs four times, thats up 4 times and down 4 times. So that's my daily work out, out of the way as well :-) My personal challenge: each week, every day, I've made myself go up the stairs and down again, I started doing 2 ups and downs and now I'm up 4 ups and downs. Starting Saturday it will be 5. No cheating. It has to be all at once and not because I have to go upstairs anyway. I make a special effort to do these climbs. And effort it is, I can tell you!! By Christmas I should be up to 10 climbs a day :-)
ReplyDeleteThis blog is a great idea mum! You can do it stay positive, good luck. Love lou xxx
ReplyDeleteWell done Mum! I don't think I've seen you as motivated as this when dieting. We'll be here to support you all the way. Best of luck!!
ReplyDeleteLove Kath & Adam xxxx
Big brave girl for going public Tina, soon you'll be a small brave girl! I wish you every success and remember a journey of a thousand miles starts with just one small step, and you've taken that step. Hang in there, I'll be wait-watching!
ReplyDeleteRoy
A bit of inspiration for you......

Well done Chris. Keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteTrying to work up the strenght to join you
Roy always has a way with words doesn't he?? LOL! Julie sends her support too, I'll be keeping her posted of your progress. Keep going Teen, stay on in there xxxx
ReplyDeleteWoohooo, lost 1.5lbs, bringing my total weight loss to 12lbs in three weeks. I am so happy. I really didn't think I'd lose anything this week because I seemed to eat so much following the new WW plan.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much everyone for supporting me, it means so much to me and just the encouragement I need.
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie
Last week was a trial run for me and Propoints and now I've got the gist of it, I will concentrate of eating more healthy and cut down on my fruit intake, which, on this programme, is zero Propoints. I was having up to 5 pieces a day, including 2 banana, so I going to eat one or two pieces less. I am still going to use all of the daily Propoints allowance I have been allocated plus all the 49 extra Propoints, which I am are allowed, weekly. Fingers crossed for a good weight loss next Thursday.
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie and of course Chrisparkle ;-)
Well, I am quite pleased with myself tonight. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been to a quiz night, where there was a small buffet provided of sandwiches, cheese and biscuits, a few salad sticks and a selection of dips.
I was very good and had the salad sticks a dollop of cheese and chive dip. I really enjoyed it and didn't feel I needed anything else.
So I think my brain is learning. Stuck to diet coke all night as well ;-)
BTW our team 'GOIN' 4 IT' won :-)
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
All sounds a bit complicated to me, but you've obviously got the hang of it. Bananas are the most fattening aren't they? Well done for losing 12 lbs and resisting the fattening stuff at the quiz AND for winning !!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was thinking, with all this walking up and down stairs - maybe next year we WILL do that walk up the hill near Chapmans Pool !!! Cheers Teen xxx
OMG, Chapmans Pool, you must be joking. Give me stairs anytime, at least there's a banister to hold on to and no steep drop. Teenx
ReplyDeleteGood luck tonight Teen. Let us all know how you got on. OK, we'll find a nice flat bit in Dorset somewhere! We're going back to Woodyhyde next July, so you'll be well fit by then! xxx
ReplyDeleteOne down nine to go. Yipppeee. Lost 2 and 1/2 lbs this week, which brings me passed losing 1 stone. 1 stone and 1/2 lb to be exact.
ReplyDeleteMy mini goal is to lose 20lbs ( a stone and half) by Christmas and I'm now 6 1/2 lbs from that :-) I really hope I manage it. A few obstacles in the way, like 4 Christmas Get Togethers between 4th and 23rd December. I do like me beer but a pint is 6 propoints, so I might have to go on the Barcardi and diet coke which is 2 propoints :-)
Cheers!
Paus, remind me where Woodyhyde is?
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
CONGRATULATIONS! Great news Mum! Christmas is certainly going to be a test for you, as it would be for anyone dieting. The next month will be the hardest, so if you get through this you'll be laughing all the way to your goal weight!
ReplyDeleteKath xxxxx
Well done Teen, we all know you can do it. That first stone is such a boost - the rest will follow.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the bacardi and diet cokes ;-) Woodyhyde is between Corfe and Swanage, right hand side, where you met Jakki this year.
Keep up the good work, I'll blog on again soon. Paus xxxxx
Hi Everyone, Still feeling very positive on this Weight loss Journey. I measured myself at the beginning, so I think I'd better measure again now a month has gone passed. The thing is, I don't want to be disillusioned because not much has come off. That's why I have been putting it off. I think the longer I leave it the less the tape measure will show. :-)
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to look at my NSV post (to the right under November). If I have lost some inches, this will be an NSV ;-)
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
PS: Paus, how could I forget but I just couldn't place it.
Yippee, another 1.5lbs hits the dust bringing my total loss to 16lbs. I am so happy. I really ought to get the tape measure out ;-)
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Had my first proper night out since starting my Weight Loss Journey, tonight. Had a lovely meal, which I was careful with and had more than a few drinks but I am very confident I will still loose weight this week. However I'm out again on 7th, so watch this space!
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Well that's the second Christmas Night Out, out of the way and I just remembered that apart from my usual tipple - lager and Barcardi, I also had 'Sex on the Beach'. That's a cocktail before you start accusing me of adultery (LOL) Anyway, I've tried to tot up the Propoints I have used and hopefully have remained within my allowance. The scales will tell tomorrow. I'm dreading it actually :(
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Mum - stay positive, this is the hardest month remember, you deserve to treat yourself every now and again. If you stay the same or put on a bit over the next few weeks don't beat yourself up over it.....you're doing really well!! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone. Well I got a reprieve and stayed the same ;-) I am happy with that. On a more positive note.................See my NSV :-)
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Teem, I'm with Kath on this one - you're doing really well, it's great that you had Sex on the Beach and stayed the same !!! Live a bit over Christmas (not tooooo much though!), and you won't feel like it's a prison sentence. Remember, the way you dance at a bash, no chance of you putting on weight! Keep up the good work, I'll check out the NSV now, love Paus.
ReplyDeleteP.S. When are you free over Christmas?? xxxxx
Lost 2 lb. Woowooowwwoooo :-) I wanted to get to the one and half stone mark by Christmas, which leaves me with 3lb to go. A long shot but I'll give it my best shot. Also my WW Leader has taken a a daily Propoint off me :-( so will have less to eat this week.
ReplyDeleteTwo Christmas nights out this week, so will just have to stick to 'Sex on the Beach' ;-)
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Went out Friday night and had far too much to drink. This made my defence barriers go down and I had a few pieces of pizza that my son had made and had left on the remains on show! I did refrain from eating the whole lot but I shouldn't have eaten any.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I have had a binge since then, I didn't eat properly yesterday, got hungry and ate more than my fair share of chips.
Today I've written out what I am going to eat without starving and try and repair some of the damage. I might be alright but I am going out tomorrow night! I don't think I'll drink ;-)
Hope I can stay on track til Thursday, when I get weighed and the last one til the New Year.
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Another pound bites the dust and I am so please dafter my hiccups at the beginning of the week. I found it really hard to stay on track. I didn't get to my mini-goal but hey I am going in the right direction. I just hope I don't put too much on over Christmas and New Year. I am going to try and not overindulge in food but going away for New Year for 3 nights and it will be a boozy time.
ReplyDeleteNot getting weighed again til 6th January. It seems a logn time but only missing one week. Give sme time to get on track as much as possible ;-)
Hope you all have a Wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Lots of love
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Hi Everyone, Happy New Year. Hope you all had a great Christmas. Now the fun begins and I get really serious about my aims, although I was serious in 2010, Christmas and New Year were big obstacles and they won't get in my way this year.
ReplyDeleteSince getting back from a New Year away, I have been back on track and hoping the scales will show that, at the very least, I have stayed the same.
Exercise is big on the agenda now, as I have my Wii (read separate heading), so not only will I be slim, I hope I will be toned as well.
It has been suggested to me to add more photos but although I have lost over a stone, I don't look any different. Having said that, I'll see what my New Year photos are like. Watch this space ;-)
All the best to you all for 2011 and thank you so much for reading My Blog.
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Happy New Year Teen - and a Happy New YOU !!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to put some photos on here, you may not think you look like you've lost weight, but we haven't seen you since you started, so I think it's a really good move and a great motivation. Well done for doing so well over Chrimbo - and good luck for tonight!! I can imagine New Year was boozy! I'll tune in tomorrow to see how you got on.
Love Paus xxxx
Wow, wow, wow, wow, I lost 2lb. I can't believe it. I screamed and deafened the leader - lol I was the only to lose weight over the Christmas holiday. So a very bright shining halo is above my head but they all hate me ;-) 21 lbs lost so far. I am so happy.
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
WELL DONE TEEN !!! I'm so pleased for you, I was dreading looking this morning, but that is great news, what a cracking start to the New Year and a brilliant incentive for you to hang on in there! Keep up the good work and see (not so much of) you soon !!!
ReplyDeletePaus xxxx

Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Am I chuffed. Lost 2.5lbs this week. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am going to be excellent this week, not that I have really gone off the plan proper but sometimes I might forget that I had something and not count it. I am going to write everything down, do more exercise and try and get lots off for next week.:-)
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Yipee Teen, well done again, so that's 25 lbs now! Bloody marvellous. Keep up the good work, thinking of you lots. Good luck with the exercise! We'll do a nice long walk when you come over. :-)))
ReplyDeleteLots of love, Paus xxxxxx
How did you get on last night? Hope you've been a good girl! Try to give me a call at the weekend Teen, if you can. Love Pxxx
ReplyDeleteI stayed the same. I know I should be positive and it hasn't changed my motivation but I worked really hard on my WWii this week becasue I wanted to get as near to my mini goal as possible. So a bit deflated.
ReplyDeleteI had an NSV though :-) see under heading.
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Wow, I lost 3lbs this week :-) so now I have lost 2 stone (28lbs) I am one happy bunny.
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
We shall have a drink to that tonight!!! Well done you, 20% of your target complete - that's a lot, think if you got 20% off something in the shops, you'd be chuffed!!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up Teen, see you next week. We got yummy healthy stuff on the menu :-) xxxxx
Lost a pound :-) Now into the 18's and earned a 10% keyring, which is awarded when you lose 10% of your body weight. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy this weight is shifting. My trousers fell down today, in the kitchen, I might add, and just as Les came through the door. What a welcome - lol
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
LOL ! Did he think his luck was in, or leave the room??!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done again Teen, it's brilliant and you will be a stunning Mother of the Bride xxxxx
Lost a 1/2 lb. Slow but definitely sure :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd reached another of my mini goals. :-)
Chrisparkle
Well done Teen, I'm really chuffed, and relieved! P
ReplyDeleteHi Peeps, :-D :-D :-D Lost 3lbs. I am so happy. It's been really slow this last couple of weeks but I didn't get down or de-motivated. Just kept plodding on and I've been rewarded. :-D
ReplyDelete32.5lbs gone FOREVER. YIPPEEE.
I think I will have to think about getting some smaller clothes ;-)
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Well done Sis, great news again. Keep up the good work. All that counting pays off in the end!! Paus xxx
ReplyDeleteExcellent Mud! Well done. Can really see the difference now! Keep it up xxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteMy first set back :-(
ReplyDeleteI put on half a pound. The only thing i can think of, is that I didnt; eat enough. I know that might sound silly to some of you but I have been eating all my dailies and all of 49ers each and every week. This week I went out twice for a meal over the weekend and I reckon I over estimated the amount of Propoints I used.
Oh well, it wont let it beat me. I will be extra, extra, good this week. :-D
Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Hang on in there Teen, this is a very minor blip. Keep strong, keep counting! Paus xx
ReplyDelete2lb off - yippeee. Didn't let that little blip last week get to me. Just stayed on track and had a really good result. Only one pound to go before a 2 and half stone loss. :-)
ReplyDeleteChris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
Well done Teen, I didn't think that litte slip up would upset the routine. You're doing so bloody well!! Keep up the good work, cheers, Paus xxx
ReplyDeleteForgot to post an update last week 8-[. I lost 1lb last week and lost 2 and half lbs this week. :-D Only 4 and half pounds to go til I reach 3 stone loss. :-)
ReplyDeleteSlimmer Chris/Tina/Teen/Christine/Chrissie/Chrisparkle
I've been busy too, forgot to look last week. Still going in the right direction, good for you Teen! xx
